Alexander Hamilton Society

The Alexander Hamilton Society at Regent University is a nonpartisan, student-led organization dedicated to advancing principled American leadership in global affairs. Through speaker events, policy discussions, and motivated student engagement, we explore the intersections of national security, international relations, and political economy. Our mission and purpose are to foster civil discourse and develop thoughtful, well-informed leaders who are passionate about the future of American foreign policy. All students, regardless of major or background, are welcome and encouraged to join the conversation.

Eligibility: Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.

Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED)

AED Virginia Mu is Regent University’s Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a National Health Preprofessional Honor Society. It is an organization open to all undergraduate students dedicated to pursuing a career in the healthcare or medical fields, regardless of their major. AED Virginia Mu’s ultimate purpose is to equip members to presently serve their local communities in the Name of Jesus, and to prepare them to become world-changing Christian leaders in the healthcare and medical fields. This is accomplished by cultivating community through monthly meetings, social gatherings, and field trips; seeking opportunities to serve surrounding communities; encouraging academic excellence through study groups and practice exams; and assisting members in accessing the information, resources, and connections necessary to successful continue forward into graduate studies.

Alpha Phi Sigma-Phi Zeta (APS-PZ)

Alpha Phi Sigma, also known as the Criminal Justice Honor Society, in the pursuit of Christian truth aims to promote analytical thinking and rigorous scholarship and lifelong learning. The intent is to keep members abreast of the advances in scientific research and to elevate the standards of criminal justice professions. This is done to sustain in the public mind the benefit and necessity of education and professional training.

Eligibility: Currently enrolled undergraduate students.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Board (ADR)

The foundational mission of the Board is to bring glory to God and to His Son, Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, by training students in the biblical principles and practical application of negotiation, conflict management, and resolution.

The Board’s purpose is:

1. To promote and train students in the use of various methods of dispute resolution and client counseling from a biblical worldview;
2. To develop, facilitate, and administer intramural and interscholastic dispute resolution and client counseling competitions;
3. To assist the Faculty Advisor(s) in the selection of students eligible to represent Regent University School of Law in interscholastic dispute resolution and client counseling competitions;
4. To assist faculty in the research and development of additional material for use in classroom instruction, extracurricular training, and activities;
5. To assist the faculty in the training of law students in the biblical principles and arts of dispute resolution and client counseling.

Animation Club

The Animation Club is a Christian-centered community where students passionate about animation can connect, share ideas, and grow together. We welcome all skill levels and focus on building friendships through creativity, encouragement, and faith. Our activities include sketch sessions, themed meetups, and opportunities to explore animation styles in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re an artist, storyteller, or just curious, this club is a place to belong and be inspired.

Apologia

Apologia is a students’ apologetics organization that equips its members and visitors to give sound theological, historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for their belief in Jesus Christ. Through its weekly on-campus and online meetings, Apologia seeks to stimulate apologetics-related discussion by exploring culturally relevant issues within the context of a biblical worldview and Christian truth. We encourage dialogue on secularism and help answer life’s pressing questions. Apologia is a platform where Christian thinkers can interact and exchange ideas through public discussion, lecture, or debate. And so our weekly meetings utilize a variety of formats: lectures, video presentations, panel discussions, debates, etc. Our overarching desire is to empower students to grow deeper in their knowledge of and love for God and to effectively share that knowledge and love with others by building relationships and promoting Christian discipleship.

Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA)

There is nothing more honorable in the human endeavor than to bear witness to the truth of Jesus Christ. We, the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, seek to act upon this principle. Our mission is to foster the exchange of ideas and promote a deeper understanding of the legal, political, and social status of Asian Pacific Americans in society; to encourage leadership, participation, and involvement in the greater Asian Pacific American community; and to inspire law students and legal professionals to serve the interest and aspirations of Asian Pacific Americans and all diverse populations. Whether you are Asian Pacific American by blood or just want to take in the Asian Pacific American culture, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our organization.

Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi)

The Regent University Student Chapter of ABPsi is part of a national professional organization of psychologists and other social-behavioral scientists interested in improving the quality of life of African Americans and other racial minority populations. Our goal is to have a positive impact on the mental health of the national Black community by means of planning, programs, services, training, and advocacy. Our objectives include organizing our skills and abilities to influence necessary change, and to address ourselves to significant social problems affecting the Black community and other segments of the population whose needs society has not fulfilled. Whether you are African American by blood or just want to take in the African American culture, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our organization.

Black Law Students Association (BLSA)

The Black Law Student Association is dedicated to encouraging and supporting Minority law students and advocating for the legal needs of the Black community through open forums and membership to individuals from all backgrounds and races in order to approach problems holistically and ethically. Whether you are African American by blood or just want to take in the African American culture, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our organization.

Business Law Society (BLS)

The Business Law Society is a group of Regent University School of Law students and professors dedicated to a deeper understanding of business law, transaction law, marketplace forces affecting the law, and the economic concerns of serving clients. It includes a focus on taxation and intellectual property owing to the hiatus of the clubs previously serving law students studying those topics. Led by Professor Brad Lingo and drawing from the instruction of many other RUSL professors, the Business Law Society creates an enriching, ongoing discussion of topics to sharpen the skills of our graduates. There are no collegiate competitions and members produce no work-product, but instead the Society gathers to hear guest lecturers, learn through presentations by professors, and undertake acts of service to RUSL. Transaction lawyers are often serving clients that are not in a controversy; the Society seeks to remind students that creative, polite, and economically efficient outcomes are the norm for most transaction attorneys. Additionally, the Society seeks to remind students that transaction litigation can be done with business savvy and with Christian humility that does not detract from the client’s outcomes. Both the conciliatory side and the adversarial side of transaction law are discussed regularly. The internal governance of the Business Law Society offers opportunity for RUSL students to serve the Society as any of several elected officials with corresponding duties, with the experienced gained through such service an appropriate addition to a resume. Finally, in seeking to move beyond rhetoric, the Society also supports Law Chapel regularly through volunteer chapel hosts as well as finical backing.

Chi Sigma Iota, Alpha Omega Chapter (CSI)

Chi Sigma Iota is the international honor society of professional counseling and for professional counselors. It was established in 1985 through the efforts of leaders in the profession of counseling whose desire was to provide recognition for outstanding achievement as well as outstanding service within the profession. CSI was created for counselors-in-training, counselor educators, and professional counselors whose career commitment is to research and service through professional counseling.

Our mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling. Our symbols and colors were chosen to reflect our mission and values: white for virtue, blue for trustworthiness and integrity. Our Strategic Plan and Bylaws provide information about the purposes of and membership requirements for the Society.

Chi Sigma Iota has a rich history, summarized in pictures in our CSI Scrapbook, Annual Awards Program and Year in Review, and description of activities and accomplishments of the Society, working alone and in conjunction with other counseling associations to provide services to members of the counseling profession. A listing of past-presidents is included, as these persons reflect the rich tradition of excellence that is the hallmark of Chi Sigma Iota.

Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS)

CAPS is a professional organization dedicated to connecting Christian mental health professionals and researching clinical issues and literature through a theological lens. The Regent chapter of CAPS seeks to facilitate discussions in the PsyD program about what it means to be a Christian in the psychology field.

Eligibility: Currently enrolled doctorate counseling students.

Christian Legal Society (CLS)

The Christian Legal Society seeks to fulfill God’s command found in Micah 6:8 by bringing glory to God by inspiring, encouraging, and equipping Christian lawyers and law students, both individually and in community, to proclaim, love, and serve Jesus Christ through the study and practice of law, through the provision of legal assistance to the poor and needy, and through the defense of the inalienable rights to life and religious freedom. This student chapter aims to reach students through their entire time in law school, to encourage fostering their faith and be ready once they are lawyers. This chapter also provides networking through the annual conference to help students make and maintain mentors and friends.

Council of Graduate Students (COGS)

We believe that all Christians are admonished in the Scriptures to bear witness to Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; John 20:21) and have the power available through the Holy Spirit to do so (Acts 1:8). The purpose of COGS is to provide Regent University students with opportunities to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit to those who do not know Him. This organization is called by God to be a vehicle through which students can go out into the community and share their Christian faith and love with unbelievers. Moreover, the purpose of COGS shall be:

• To promote the University’s Commitment to biblical principles and spiritual development.
• To advocate and represent the graduate student body’s collective ideas, interests, and concerns to the Regent Administration and vice versa.
• To facilitate collaboration and community-building among the students of the University’s constituent graduate schools.
• To assist the Regent Administration in fostering a quality academic environment.
• To identify specific areas where the efforts of COGS should be concentrated, according to the leading of the Spirit.
• To keep efficient records of the results of all efforts so that effective follow-up can be administered.
• To make prudent and Spirit-led decisions, according to the Scriptural principles, regarding the use of the resources and finances of COGS, so that we will be good stewards of that which God has entrusted to use.
• To keep efficient records of all the financial dealings of COGS.
• To constantly seek to glorify and lift up the Lord Jesus Christ through all that is said and done in COGS.
• To meet regularly in order to maintain the health and spiritual formation of the organization.

Enactus

ENACTUS is an organization focused on serving others using entrepreneurial actions. The primary purpose is to address the UN’s goals for sustainable development including no poverty, zero hunger, quality education, affordable and clean energy, among others. Through the development of sustainable projects we are able to address these issues in new and innovating ways. Many non-profit organizations focus on addressing the symptoms of the world’s problems, while ENACTUS seeks to address the root cause by empowering individuals to rise above their own circumstances.

Family Law Society

The Family Law Society was created by Regent Law students who plan to practice or who are interested in the broad area of Family Law. Our mission is to give members a practical understanding of Family Law problems and solutions through interactions with professionals, provide a forum for the discussion of Family Law issues, and disseminate information to students about opportunities in the field of Family Law and related areas. Issues in Family Law include marriage, divorce, child custody, adoption and guardianship, paternity, domestic violence, child abuse, foster care, and juvenile justice, and more! Even if you are not considering practicing Family Law, we encourage all law students to join us in our mission to strengthen the family unit through the field of law.

Federalist Society (Fed Soc)

The Federalist Society is a non-partisan conservative and libertarian organization dedicated to the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.

The Federalist Society also believes that federalism; limited, constitutional government; and the rule of law are central to the preservation of individual freedom and traditional values. The Society seeks to promote the application of these principles through open and balanced debate, programs, and publications.

Hispanic Law Students Association (HLSA)

HLSA helps to foster in the membership of an awareness of and commitment to the needs of the Hispanic Population, both legal and otherwise, through community service projects. The organization promotes the academic achievement and retention of Hispanic Law Students at Regent University School of Law. Whether you are Hispanic by blood or just want to take in the Hispanic culture, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our organization.

Human Services Association (HSA)

The Human Services Association (HSA) at Regent University is a student-led organization open to all Counseling Ministries students. With representation in five different countries, the club’s mission is to promote volunteerism and community service while equipping students to live out their calling as the hands and feet of Jesus across the world. The HSA meets virtually. Meetings feature guest speakers who are leaders in the fields of mental health and human services, offering valuable insights, inspiration, and professional development opportunities. Through service initiatives, global outreach, and student-led leadership, the HSA provides opportunities for students to grow spiritually, develop leadership skills, and contribute to communities around the world. “The Human Services Association at Regent University equips Counseling Ministries students from around the world to grow in faith, lead with purpose, and impact communities through service and volunteerism.”

Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law Society (IPELS)

The Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society (IPELS) provides a forum for Regent law students and legal professionals to network and discuss the subjects of intellectual property, entertainment, and sports law. The goal of IPELS is to educate Regent law students regarding legal issues and potential employment in these areas and encourage Christian involvement and participation in these fields. IPELS desires to operate as a witness of the good news of Jesus Christ to the Intellectual Property, Entertainment, and Sports Law communities at large.

Intercollegiate Studies Institute

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute at Regent University is, at its core, an educational institution. Our aim is to engage fellow students in meaningful discussions about the Constitution and the principles that have shaped this nation. We hope to address the need for a proper political philosophy club on campus through educational discussions, speaker events, intellectual retreats, and reading groups. The club will explore key aspects of political philosophy and Christian morality that have shaped Western Civilization. ISI will focus on the principles of freedom and liberty that built our nation and how students can use those ideas to become better leaders and citizens.

Investment Club

The Regent University Investment Club aims to educate students on the basics of fundamentalist investing in the market. We aim to teach students how to evaluate a company’s viability in an investment portfolio based on various economics and financial variables. This is done primarily though the collective building and management of a club portfolio.

Italian-American Law Student Association (ILSA)

The Italian-American Law Students Association was founded in 2023 by Regent Law students who saw the significance of a group that makes up almost six percent of the U.S. population. ILSA is dedicated to celebrating the Italian-American culture and legal community. We exist to serve as a resource to educate, promote, and preserve the Italian-American heritage, especially within the field of Law. ILSA is committed to building relationships in our community and is dedicated to providing networking opportunities, guest speakers, and delicious Italian food in an effort to advance the interests of the Italian-American legal community. Whether you are Italian by blood or just want to take part in the Italian culture, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our organization.

Journal of Global Justice & Public Policy (JGJPP)

Journal of Global Justice and Public Policy (JGJPP) is Regent University School of Law’s premier academic journal presenting original legal research related to the study of international human rights. JGJPP is committed to publishing interdisciplinary literature critically analyzing the significant social challenges and the persistent legal issues affecting the marginalized, disenfranchised, indigent, and abused, and works in association with the Center for Global Justice®. JGJPP is led by a team of select law student editors, publishes biannually, and regularly organizes and sponsors conferences, symposia, ethnic enrichment experiences, and student events/activities.

Lambda Pi Eta, Chi Alpha Chapter (LPH)

Chi Alpha Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s Honor Society is a highly prestigious National Honors Society for students in the Field of Communication. Lambda Pi Eta offers student members a chance to bolster their resumes, gain valuable internship opportunities, and find employment leads not available anywhere else in the field.

To be eligible for membership in Lambda Pi Eta, you must meet four requirements:

• At least 60 credit hours as of the semester you are accepted for membership
• At least 12 credit hours in Communications courses
• An overall GPA of at least 3.00
• A GPA of 3.25 in Communications (COMM) courses

Law Review (RULR)

Regent University Law Review (“Law Review”) is the premier publication of the Regent University School of Law. The Law Review provides a forum for a variety of authors to publish scholarly articles on the law from a Christian perspective.

The Law Review is a vital tool in accomplishing our law school’s mission of engaging the world with academic excellence from a Christian worldview. The Law Review has helped Regent University build its national reputation for Christian academic excellence through the publication of many well-respected authors, including Clarence Thomas, John Ashcroft, Michael McConnell, Michael Paulsen, Nancy Pearcey, and many others.

Furthermore, the Law Review is an effective marketing tool for Regent University and enhances its national reputation. Issues of the Law Review appear in law libraries across the nation and can be accessed throughout the world using online databases such as LexisNexis, HeinOnline, and Westlaw. Currently, the Law Review’s subscriber base includes the majority of American law school libraries.

The Law Review accomplishes its mission with the assistance of student editors and staff members. Law Review members are selected on the basis of academic merit and writing ability. Members gain valuable experience by writing and editing the Law Review under the guidance of law school faculty. In addition, the Law Review provides invaluable training and experience to its members, from the initial orientation program, to intensive research and source-gathering, to thoroughly editing a piece for publication. As a condition of membership, student staff members are also required to author and seek publication of their own original scholarly work. This unique training and experience enables Law Review members to qualify for highly sought after employment opportunities and positions of influence in the legal community upon graduation.

Model UN Society

The Model United Nations Student Organization focuses on international politics. We aim to assist students in their endeavors to study and practically implement diplomatic skills through participation in negotiations, practicing public speaking, and building a sense of camaraderie. By going to and possibly hosting conferences, our team will be able to serve as an example of what it means to be Christ-Like Competitors. We will strive for excellence in all things, while setting the example of Regent’s Mission.

Moot Court Board (Law MCB)

The Regent School of Law Moot Court Board began in 1993 and has continued for several years under the direction of Professor Michael Hernandez. The Board began with only eight members, but they had a goal to present opportunities to help Regent Law School students to develop skills to be successful advocates in the legal profession.

The Moot Court Board included this mission in its Constitution, which it adopted in 1994. Since that time, the Moot Court Board has expanded to up to 10 Board members and includes positions for 12 associates. The Moot Court Board works within the Regent Law School community by hosting the annual Regent Cup Competition in the fall for second and third year law school students, and the annual 1L Moot Court Competition in the spring. The Moot Court Board also assists Regent students in the development of oral and written advocacy skills through participation in various external regional and national competitions.

Additionally, the Moot Court Board also hosts two Interscholastic Competitions each year. The American Collegiate Competition, which is held in the fall, provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to experience the reality of the legal profession. Every fall semester, the Moot Court Board also hosts the Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. Law school students from around the nation participate in this competition and receive key insights from distinguished judges, attorneys, and professors to improve their oral and written advocacy skills.

National Cybersecurity Student Association

The National Cybersecurity Student Association enhances the educational and professional development of cybersecurity students through activities, networking, and collaboration. The Regent University chapter supports our cybersecurity educational programs, inspires career awareness, and encourages efforts to increase the number of graduates in the field. The vision of the National Cybersecurity Student Association is to cultivate a national community that supports students in their cybersecurity endeavors through extracurricular activities, career opportunities, mentoring, and keep them at the forefront of cybersecurity trends.

New Inkling Society

A weekly opportunity for students with creative writing goals and interests to meet and to explore the creative process while reflecting on God’s hand in their work. Specifically, students take turns bringing fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and scripts to share with the group for the purpose of sharpening our skills and identifying ways to revise effectively. In addition, group activities are focused on emphasizing creativity, mental collaboration, and motivating writers to create readable drafts. Ultimately, the group strives to strengthen the community of student writers who are dedicated to the craft and have a desire to capture messages relevant to our faith, such as the message of the broken world and the story of redemption.

Newman Club

The Newman Club is the Catholic group on campus, including undergraduate and graduate students of the Catholic faith. Newman hosts biweekly Mass on campus that is open to students, faculty, and staff, as well as biweekly Rosary prayer groups, Divine Mercy Chaplet prayer, Lectio Divina, and various opportunities for consecration (for Fall 2020, Marian Consecration). If you are Catholic and looking for community, the Newman Club is the place for you!

Orthodox Christian Fellowship of Regent University

The Orthodox Christian Fellowship of Regent University serves to educate and inform Christians and non-Christians about the ancient and apostolic denomination of Eastern Orthodoxy. This club provides Vespers services on campus followed by enriching conversations about Orthodox theology, as well as fellowship and community amongst those seeking to draw nearer to the Lord.

Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity (PAD)

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is an International Law Fraternity that was founded in 1902. PAD is the largest legal organization in the United States, second only to the American Bar Association. The Regent University Washington Chapter was established in 2008. The mission of PAD is “Service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community.” Our mission at Regent University School of Law is to advance the integrity, compassion and courage of its members through networking, community service activities, academic excellence, health and wellness, and professional development. Pi Sigma Alpha (PSA)

Alpha Epsilon Theta proudly serves students as Regent University’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Alpha Epsilon Theta is committed to stimulating productive scholarship and intelligent interest in the subject of government and to advancing and diffusing knowledge on issues related to political science. Members of this organization include students in the Robertson School of Government (RSG) and students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Qualifications for membership include completion of at least three government or political science courses (transfer students must have completed at least two of the three courses at Regent). In addition, a minimum of a 3.3 overall GPA for undergraduates and a minimum of a 3.8 overall GPA for graduate students are required.

Protestant Student Fellowship

The Protestant Student Fellowship (PSF) aims to explore and engage with the rich theological and historical aspects of this significant branch of Christianity. Members will come together to study the foundational beliefs, practices, and contributions of classical Protestant thinkers and reformers, fostering a deeper understanding of their impact on religious thought and society. Through fellowship with believers and thoughtful discussions, the club aims to analyze the core tenets of classical Protestantism, such as Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide, while also examining the movement’s evolution and its role in shaping both traditional and contemporary Christianity. Additionally, the club aims to provide perspective and understanding regarding the traditions of our Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox brethren. By delving into these topics and holding these discussions, participants gain insights into the complexities of religious history and its relevance to modern faith communities, as well as building a community with those who share similar theological beginnings.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in psychology. Regent University’s chapter of Psi Chi seeks to prepare its members for their work in psychology as scientists and clinicians by providing information panels, Q&A sessions, and prospects for seeking internship and research opportunities.

Psychology Club

Psych Club exists to provide a space where Regent University psychology students and others interested in the field can fellowship with one another and explore the fascinating world of psychology. Through monthly meetings and events, we create a place where students can learn more about the field of psychology, prepare for psychology career opportunities, and enjoy fellowship with others who are passionate about psychology. We would love for you to join us!

Public Interest Legal Advocates of Regent (PILAR)

Public Interest Legal Advocates of Regent (PILAR) is a group that is focused on providing students information about careers in the public sector and helping students get connected to those careers. Careers in the public sector are focused on providing legal services to those who cannot afford it. Careers range from working in a prosecutor or public defender’s office, working at legal aid, working for a non-profit, doing pro-bono work, and many other opportunities!

Regent Association for Computing Machinery

Regent’s Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a student-led organization that aims to advance computing as both a science and a profession. We provide unique opportunities for networking, mentorship, and fostering a sense of community for students pursuing a major or minor in computer science. Through seminars, lectures, forums, panel discussions, and research opportunities, students are encouraged to foster innovative ideas, exchange knowledge with peers, professors, and professionals, and partake in collaborative endeavors. This encompasses engaging in dialogues with esteemed Christian computer science professionals concerning their professional journeys and adversities as well as empowering students to actively pursue the path of Christian leadership and effect positive change in the world.

Regent Cultural Association (RCA)

The Regent Cultural Association (RCA) was founded to expose Regent Students to the values, people, language, media, and customs from various different countries. This allows them to both learn about and enjoy the experience of other cultures, helping to further strengthen the Regent community. RCA is an organization dedicated to representing all cultures present on campus, and is designed to provide students the ability to share their unique culture, as well as offer the experience of exposure to others. Our goal is to host regular events in which students can learn about and enjoy the cultures of their peers, so we can better understand each other and have fun doing it. Join us for holidays, appreciation events, and more!

Regent Drama Club

The Regent University Drama Club exists to foster student creativity in the theatre arts. Drama Club plans at least two student-run productions a year and also provides opportunities for a plethora of other theatre-based activities such as playwright studies, lectures, and club outings to local performances. Drama Club is open to all Regent graduate and undergraduate students in good standing with the university–no theatre experience required for general meetings, lectures, and outings! Our motto on and off stage: soli Deo gloria! To God alone be the glory!

Regent For Israel Support and Engagement, R.I.S.E

R.I.S.E., Regent for Israel Support and Engagement, is dedicated to standing up with Israel and the Jewish people. We serve as an engaging and educational resource on campus and to our surrounding community. We will host Q&A panels, engaging speaker sessions, and interactive activities for students on campus. This club is meant to serve as a safe space for questions, dialogue, and open conversation.

The Regent Law Chess Club aims to provide an organized, central forum where Law students can learn, practice, and play chess together.

Regent Law Golf Society

The Regent Law Golf Society brings together law students who are interested in building relationships, developing professionally, and enjoying the game of golf. The organization hosts golf outings, networking events, and social gatherings that connect students with peers and members of the legal community. Through these experiences, members cultivate professionalism, leadership, and strong character. The Society aims to create a welcoming environment that supports both personal growth and career development.

Regent Republican National Lawyers Association

Regent Republican National Lawyers Association (“RNLA”) aims to bring Republican discourse to Regent University School of Law and the wider Regent University community. Regent RNLA is dedicated to the Republican Party platform and exists to advance professionalism; open, fair, and honest elections; career opportunities for its members; republican ideals; and to encourage Christian values in modern political discourse and Republican Party politics. At Regent RNLA, we connect the local Regent community to the broader Republican network by hosting speakers, volunteering for campaigns and poll watching, and by hosting other events designed to promote political discourse and Christian values.

Regent Robotics

Regent Robotics (RR) encourages students to learn and apply principles of S.T.E.M. through hands-on experience in designing, building, programming, and operating robotics and electronics. Through fun events such as tournaments, challenges, and workshops, we foster leadership and innovation, facilitating individual and team participation. We also aim to provide resources to help ambitious learners grow and succeed professionally. Above all, we are committed to glorifying God by exercising our God-given creativity, and we invite students to join us in this mission.

RESCUE Initiative

Elevated above Nazareth two thousand years ago, Christ stood before of the judgmental eyes of men in the synagogue, reading from the scroll of Isaiah:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor (Luke 4:18-19).

He confidently rolled the scroll and returned it to its rightful place before turning to the multitude and declaring that the words were fulfilled in Him.

As His Regents, leaders standing in place of our Lord until He returns, we take the responsibility of loving and serving others as He would, proclaiming the good news of liberty in our broken world. Regent’s RESCUE Initiative recognizes the specific heart-breaking oppression known as human trafficking that is so often overlooked domestically.

The Problem

In 2019, the Polaris Project identified 189 victims in the state of Virginia alone, many of which were reported in VA Beach and surrounding areas. This number does little to portray the desperate need for a solution as the issue is under-reported and under-researched with several hundred thousand victims across the United States. Moreover, more than half of survivors report that they attended school while being trafficked. This is not an overseas problem, but one taking place daily in our own backyard, if not on our campus.

Our Solution

Who We Are. The Regent RESCUE Initiative is the founding chapter of a student organization that aims to increase trafficking awareness and ultimately victim identification through a tri-fold approach of educating, resourcing, and supporting local, regional, national, and global organizations in this pursuit. What We Do. The RESCUE Initiative is organized into four distinct committees to best meet the needs of the campus and local communities. These include Campus Outreach, Community Outreach, Spiritual Life, and Media and Marketing. Each of these will be led by coordinators that make up the executive board under the supervision of a president and faculty advisor and meet individually with their committees as necessary.

Campus Outreach is the heart of the student organization, planning and executing Regent University sanctioned events that promote the student organization and improve awareness in the campus community. The campus outreach coordinator facilitates event planning for the Regent community and works closely with the marketing coordinator to educate the campus on the anti-trafficking climate.

Community Outreach, on the other hand, identifies community partners, churches and nonprofits, to foster productive relationships that provide resources to both the organization and anti-trafficking efforts. The Community Outreach Coordinator communicates with active and prospective partners to convey who we are, what we do, and how the RESCUE Initiative can contribute to the community. As such, they will also facilitate community events such as fundraisers with church partners and student service projects.

The Media and Marketing Committee is responsible for broadcasting campus and community events through the various mediums of print advertisements, social media sites, and Regent sponsored productions. They plan to work closely with campus outreach to use these means for education and resource provision to the campus and community. The Marketing Director oversees social media accounts and communicates effectively with each committee to ensure events are well-advertised and the public is actively engaged.

Finally, Spiritual Life serves as an internal means to ensure the personal growth and mutual edification of RESCUE Initiative members. As committee membership remains by application only, members are dedicated to the pursuit of anti-trafficking and united by their identity and mission in Christ. The Spiritual Life Director guides the vision of the student organization by encouraging members in a unified mission through the coordination of devotional resources and providing biblical insight into trafficking issues.

As Regent University grows, the RESCUE Initiative is overjoyed to have this opportunity to conform to the mind of Christ by resourcing anti-trafficking efforts with the help of students, faculty, and community partners. As we proclaim liberty to the captives, may we embrace our freedom in Christ to love and serve as His anointed.

RU Ballroom Dancing

RU Ballroom Dancing is just that! A ballroom dancing club. We teach Rumba, Swing, Waltz, Cha cha, Tango, and more! All while having fun, building community with fellow students, and praising our Lord Jesus Christ. If you want to socialize, have fun, and dance, this is the place for you.

Sigma Tau Delta (STD)

As Regent University’s English Honors Society, the first and foremost mission of Sigma Tau Delta is to confer distinction on those that have achieved excellence in their field. However, we also possess a strong foundation of community and artistic culture. Whether reading our writing in a group setting, gathering around a literary movie night, or participating in creative competitions, Sigma Tau Delta acts as an opportunity for both English and non-English Majors to join in sharing the books and creativity that they love.

Student Activities Board (SAB)

SAB plans and runs events for students throughout the entire year. From free coffee and donuts for a quiet night in the Dede Robertson Student Center, to the biggest formal dance of the year. The Student Activities Board plans it all, and they’d love to have you join the fun in this new year!

Student Bar Association (SBA)

The Student Bar Association of Regent University School of Law serves to act as a liaison between the Regent Law student body and administration, advocate for the best interests through elected representatives, and promote community and events. Among the many different programs we facilitate, promote, and host are the annual Barrister’s Ball, sponsorship of chapel events throughout the semester, facilitation of the student-to-student mentorship program, and hosting the graduation banquet. In short, we are here to serve you, the students of the School of Law.

Students for Life (RUSFL)

Students for Life is a pro-life advocacy group dedicated to protecting unborn children and serving mothers in need. If you’re looking to get involved in the pro-life movement, SFL is the club for you! They sponsor a variety of events, from hosting pro-life apologetics trainings, to volunteering for the local Crisis Pregnancy Center, to campaigning for pro-life candidates, to serving at fundraiser banquets and lobbying at the Marches for Life. SFL has a place for you to get involved in the pro-life cause no matter what your strengths or interests are.

Student Veterans of America

Regent University Student Veterans of America Chapter is a student organization dedicated to assisting the military community as well as committed to helping today’s scholars transform from yesterday’s warriors into tomorrow’s Christian leaders through the power of education. We are dedicated to uniting the veteran community online and on campus. Our community is unlike any other. We all share a bond that no other community has, a bond of service, sacrifice, honor, courage, and commitment.

The Biblical Languages Club

The Biblical Languages Club aims to foster deeper reflection on Scripture through the study of biblical languages. We believe that Scripture is more than important enough to merit the study of its original languages, and that such study should be accessible to everyone. We hope to create a community for studying God’s word as closely as he will allow us through speaker events, word studies, public readings, weekly study meetings, and more. We welcome every student to our events, regardless of prior knowledge or experience with biblical languages.

The Board Game Club

The Board Game Club is a club that is designed to be a place for students to come together and play a variety of tabletop games. The hope for our organization is that students and professors will play board games while building community. By coming together, both groups will be able to engage with each other in a non-academic setting and use their minds in a relaxed and yet challenging way.

The Modicus Forum

The Modicus Forum is a Non-Partisan Student Organization that wishes to offer a balanced political perspective focused on the ideas of Compromise, Constitutionalism, and Free Political thought and discussion. Our goal is to provide Regent students with opportunities to learn about our current political climate and how to navigate it with a Christian perspective. These sorts of opportunities include Faculty and Student-led lectures and panels, as well as debates where students can learn how to debate in a political environment . The Modicus Forum strives to close the gap between different political parties and perspectives, as well as strengthen the individual in their convictions and the means by which to defend them.

The Scholar’s Consortium

Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of leaders through publication by creating a unified platform for student writing, research, and professional development. We seek to connect students with internships, academic journals, and journalism opportunities that strengthen both scholarship and leadership. Through mentorship and faculty partnership, this organization empowers editors and writers to develop management, communication, and publishing skills beyond the classroom. By encouraging excellence in writing and critical thought amid a changing technological landscape, we aim to inspire meaningful, high-quality work that contributes to students’ academic and professional portfolios.

Thomistic Institute Chapter

The Thomistic Institute Chapter at Regent University is dedicated to strengthening the intellectual formation of Christian students and faculty interested in the theological and philosophical tradition of Thomas Aquinas. The Thomistic Institute will coordinate 2-3 speaking engagements per semester with the Dominican House of Studies in Washington D.C. We hope to enrich the intellectual formation of Regent students, specifically in The Honors College, through our speaking engagements. Our speaking events will take place in person or, if necessary, virtually through Zoom.

Trial Advocacy Board

The Trial Advocacy Board (TAB) assists in training law students in the art of trial advocacy and procedural litigation skills, while integrating Christian ideals into the courtroom, with the ultimate goal of molding students into aggressive Christian advocates. The Trial Advocacy Board will achieve this mission by the following: providing students with opportunities to attend and compete in national trial advocacy competitions, hosting periodic seminars for Board members, sponsoring an annual intramural trial advocacy competition, and creating camaraderie among peers in an environment that allows learning and teaching opportunities.

Turning Point USA

Turning Point USA at Regent University aims to educate students about the importance of freedom, free markets, and limited government in an engaging and casual environment. We also aim to empower young activists to get involved in the fight for free markets and limited government. Through building strong campus networks, organizing conferences, and equipping activists with the knowledge and strategies needed to persuade and inform the population. TPUSA has many opportunities for students to get involved on and off campus.

Undergraduate Debate Association (RUDA)

Welcome to the Regent Undergraduate Debate Association (RUDA), Regent’s premier undergraduate debate and Moot Court team! We are a proud member of the American Moot Court Association, which currently ranks our Moot Court team among the Top 10 in the nation. Since 2015, we have earned over 50 awards at regional and national Moot Court competitions, and have even won as high as 3rd in the nation. Aside from our awards, we believe that Moot Court is a fantastic activity for all students because it promotes strong public speaking skills, critical thinking skills, and healthy competition. Regardless of their majors, students who participate in Moot Court are greatly rewarded by their experience with our hard-working, fun-loving team!

Undergraduate Student Leadership Board

We are the problem-solvers, representatives, and voices of Regent students. Our organization has three main components. First, we focus on professional and spiritual mentorship for our board members. Second, we proactively and reactively respond to student questions, concerns, and suggestions. Third, we initiate events to serve the Virginia Beach community.

Wellness Society

Wellness Society is a student organization for law students that provide awareness and resources to those struggling with mental health. We also aim to equip students to help others with their mental health struggles. We are hoping to create a space for students to receive the help and support they need and show them the love of Christ that they may not see elsewhere. Each semester, we will host two mental health events get law students access to the resources and information they need.

Where’s the Line

Where is the Line is a student organization affiliated with Fear 2 Freedom, a global nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope and healing to those impacted by sexual abuse. The club’s mission is to educate students about sexual violence, support survivor healing, and reduce the stigma surrounding trauma and mental health. Through awareness, service, and collaboration, members work to foster healthy relationships and create a more compassionate, inclusive community. Students gain the knowledge, empathy, and tools to not only support survivors on campus but also to become leaders and advocates who challenge harmful norms and promote safety in their future communities.

Wisdom Club

The Wisdom Club aims to bring back the deeper, more philosophical thinking involved in the Italian and French historic salons of the past that our Founding Fathers participated in. Salons often included game-playing, conversation, key vernacular literary styles, group authorships, and debates to answer life’s toughest questions. For Wisdom Club, we will experiment with many different activities, most of each will be causal in nature, to attempt to better understand the world God put us in. Members of this club will take time debating and discussing topics ranging from the beauty of God’s creation to issues concerning the calamity of our times. The club will have a guided agenda but largely be dictated by the interests of the group.

Women’s Law Association

The Women’s Law Association (“WLA”) is a collegiate chapter of the National Women of Law Students’ Organization (“NWLSO”) of Ms. JD, a national community that provides a forum for dialogue and networking among practicing and aspiring female lawyers. The WLA aims to increase the representation of women in the legal profession by raising awareness of relevant issues and fostering a strong, empowering community among practicing and aspiring female attorneys. The WLA encourages female law students to be advocates for Christ in and outside the Courtroom.

Worship Dance Club

Regent University’s Worship Dance Club is organized to give all Regent students a chance to learn and practice dance skills in a Christian environment. From beginners to experienced dancers, all will worship God together through dance and be able to express themselves in a new and beautiful way. We will focus on ballet and lyrical with the possibility of adding new styles as the club continues. All are welcome regardless of skill level and will grow alongside other dancers with a passion for worshiping God through dance.
