Regent’s Bachelor of Arts in Theatre program, offered exclusively on campus, integrates classroom study with practical training in our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center equipped with three performance spaces. Become a well-rounded artist as you enjoy challenging coursework in acting, directing, voice, design, stagecraft, theatre history, text analysis, and makeup.

THEU 105	Stagecraft	3	Training in the skills and techniques of technical theatre (including set construction, scene painting, lighting, and sound) through reading, lecture, and hands-on experience.
THEU 227	Makeup for the Theatre	3	Affords the student the opportunity to gain expertise in designing and applying a variety of stage make-ups including: corrective, fantasy, animal, special effects, and old age. The course includes the introduction of latex prosthetic pieces. Students are required to purchase a personal makeup kit. Prerequisite: THEU 101 or instructor approval.
THEU 322	Fundamentals of Directing	3	Practical and theoretical work of the director as artist, leader, and collaborator. Focus placed on directing modern realistic plays to hone skills in text analysis, communication, organization, and style. Students rehearse projects outside of regularly scheduled class hours.
THEU 323	Principles of Theatre Design	3	An overview of the practical and aesthetic considerations of scenic, lighting, costume and sound design as it applies to theatrical performance. Course contains both traditional lecture and hands-on design work including drafting, sketching, composition and the spectator/event relationship. Lab required.
THEU 324	Stage & Theatre Management	3	Students examine the duties and responsibilities of a production stage manager and hone organizational and communication skills with all members of a production team, including Actors’ Equity Association regulations. Students will also examine other aspects of theatre management, including: box office, front-of-house, publicity/promotion, audience development, fund-raising, etc.

Students should refer to their catalog or audited degree plan (ADP) for required courses to complete their degree.

Submit your unofficial high school or college transcripts to regent.edu/items.

Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email requesting authorization for Regent University to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution. International transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES, AACRAO or NAFSA approved agency.

Step 3: Submit Your Government-Issued ID

To ensure academic integrity, Regent University requires a copy of a government-issued ID. Please submit a scanned copy or photograph of it to regent.edu/items.

Step 4: Submit Your FAFSA

Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov Regent's school code is 030913.
