The School of Divinity offers students the opportunity to pursue a joint degree between the Master of Divinity in Theology & Ministry (M.Div.) and another graduate program at Regent University. Students must apply and be accepted to both programs as a joint degree student. Under the joint-degree agreement, students complete 60 (instead of 72) credit hours in the M.Div. without a concentration. The first 12 credits of the 18 credit concentration are waived for the joint degree; the remaining 6 credits are fulfilled as Divinity elective courses. Courses applied to one degree are not eligible to be applied to the second degree in a joint degree program. Joint degree students subsequently earn a separate degree from each school and must complete both degree programs before being approved for graduation.
In addition to the required Foundations and Concentration courses, M.Div. in Theology & Ministry students take six credits of Biblical languages and select a Capstone Experience such as a Master’s Thesis, Spiritual Formation Portfolio, or Clinical Pastoral Education.
