TITLE IV LOANS: If students are receiving Title IV Federal Student Loans, they are permitted to enroll in the same course number a maximum of only two semesters. Therefore, doctoral students are encouraged to carefully plan the dissertation/final project stage of their program.

The School of Business & Leadership is committed to the historical foundations of the doctoral degree in which a community of scholars is created among faculty mentors and student scholars. Regent University mirrors this historical tradition by using student cohorts, intensive online residencies and a variety of interactive discussion modes that extend beyond topical course discourse.

The Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) program in the School of Business & Leadership includes two required residencies, held virtually. The first residency covers program orientation and guidelines, the library use course (UNIV LIB Information Research & Resources) as well as class instruction for the first two courses of the core curriculum. The second residency focuses on class instruction for the courses to be taken in the semester as well as doctoral program requirements such as the Final Project.

“I am proud to further Regent University’s conviction of excellence in scholarship, passion for ministry, and devotion to the Word of God.”
Ben Gutierrez, Ph.D., 2004 Organizational Leadership
“Embarking on the Executive Mentorship Program from Albania was an exciting journey that opened doors beyond my expectations. The Executive Mentorship Program has been a catalyst for growth on both professional and personal fronts. While my mentor has been instrumental in helping me to polish my Resume and expand my professional network, our relationship goes beyond just career growth. We still maintain great contact and meet over for coffee to discuss life updates whenever he is in town. He was always very encouraging and eager to me see me succeed in all ways possible. As an Albanian navigating the professional landscape, this program has not only been a holistic experience, nurturing both my professional and personal growth , but also fostered meaningful cross-cultural connections that I deeply value.”
Ersa Jahja, MBA, 2024 Mentee
“When you’re leading the largest city in the Commonwealth, you realize quickly, you can’t do it by yourself … so I pray. Regent was a vital factor in my spiritual growth and my professional growth.”
Bobby Dyer, Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, 1998 Mayor, City of Virginia Beach
“I came to Regent after the Navy to prepare for a role in public service. I had some innovative ideas in me, and Regent helped me tap into them more. I know I want to help and influence others for Christ, perhaps as a diplomat working for the U.S. State Department.”
Chad McQueen, MBA, 2015
“Regent provided a very hands-on experience that I could implement in my life right away. You can’t come out of this program without becoming a better leader. It proves itself of worth and value time and again.”
Cynthia Arocho, M.A., 2012
