Regent Law Celebrates Outstanding Performance on Virginia Bar Exam

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Oct. 20, 2022) – Regent Law is celebrating one of its strongest ever performances on the Virginia bar exam.

Regent’s overall pass rate on the July bar was the third highest in Virginia—an achievement that places the University ahead of the law programs at Washington & Lee University, George Mason University, the University of Richmond, Appalachian School of Law and Liberty University.

“We take the study of law very seriously at Regent University. Our purpose-driven, practice-ready approach to legal education prepares our students to graduate bar-exam ready,” said Brad Lingo, dean of Regent University School of Law. “I’m so proud of the class of 2022.  Their outstanding performance in Virginia and 100% pass rates in many other states testifies to the quality of our program.”

Regent’s pass rates from the July bar exam are the second highest in school history—finishing behind only the class of 2017, which had the highest pass rate in the state that year.
