Judge Marion R. Warren, J.D. (Ret.)

Bio

As director of the N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts, Warren was responsible for the business operations of the 6,000 members of the judicial branch and its courts, clerks, district attorneys, justices, judges and indigent services in North Carolina. Prior to that, he served as N.C. District Court Judge – Bladen, Brunswick and Columbus Counties (2000-2015), and N.C. Assistant District Attorney, 13th Prosecutorial District (1993-2000).

Warren has been actively involved in criminal justice and law enforcement programs, specialty courts, trainings, and planning.

He is married to Dorothy Gore Warren, and they have four children. Their family enjoys being active in church and various other community activities.

Affiliations

Warren has served on numerous corporate and civil committees and boards in his community, state, and nation. Among such professional affiliations include the Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA), the North Carolina Courts Commission, the Juvenile Jurisdiction Advisory Committee, the Governor’s Crime Commission (GCC), the Task Force on Sentencing Reforms for Opioid Drug Convictions, and the Campbell University School of Law Board of Visitors.
