Ashley Jamison, Ph.D., LPC-S (VA & LA)
Dr. Ashley Jamison is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor. Her clinical experience has included private practice work with couples and individuals with various presenting issues, as well as addiction counseling and working in the community with severe and persistent mental illness. She has served in member care for a mission organization and currently leads her church’s mental health team. She also owns Solutions Now Therapy — an online practice focused on short-term counseling. She believes that everyone is doing the best they can, but we have a lot of “stuff” that gets in the way of living in the wholeness of who God created us to be. All of our experiences impact us, and some of those leave deep wounds that interfere with how we view ourselves, others and God. Sometimes those stories need a closer look as we move toward the freedom that comes with knowing and believing the truth.
Jamison holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where she previously taught and supervised counseling students. She also received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling and Th.M. in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.B.A. from Cameron University.
Jamison’s clinical and research interests include childhood emotional neglect and the well-being of missionary families. She is committed to counselor development through mentorship, clinical supervision and Christian integration into clinical practice.
When Jamison is not working, she enjoys cooking, doing yoga, hiking and hanging out with her husband and sweet little boys.
