Welcome Week

Welcome to our newest Regent Royals! Before you begin your first semester, we have prepared Welcome Week to build your confidence, help you learn some important ins and outs of college life, and have some fun together! You will connect with student leaders, learn how to navigate classes, and get a good feel for your new campus life. Welcome Week is a mandatory event for all first-time freshmen and transfer students ages 23 and younger.

COMMUTING STUDENTS

As a commuting student, you will need to check-in for Welcome Week at the Student Center Lobby. Time and date will be updated in June 2024.

After check-in, you will join your classmates and Connect Group Leaders in participating in Welcome Week. There will be a special Commuter Connect Group Leader Meet & Greet session on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS

For students living on campus, Welcome Week begins with move-in! Move-in dates TBD.  Please check your Regent email for more information on moving in from Student Housing,  studenthousing@regent.edu. Your housing assignment is your registration for Welcome Week.

COMMUTING STUDENTS

Your housing assignment is your registration for Welcome Week. When you check into housing on Move-In day, the Resident Assistants will give you the Welcome Week schedule.

RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS

As a commuting student, you will need to check-in for Welcome Week at the Student Center Lobby. Time and date will be updated in June 2024.

The 2024 schedule will be updated by July 2024. This is a look at last year’s Welcome Week schedule.

Residential students should arrive at your assigned residence halls according to your move-in time, which will be designated. Check-in for housing and orientation will be a single process.

Commuting students should arrive at the Student Center Lobby on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 8:30AM-10:00AM.

Yes! All sessions listed on the Welcome Week schedule are mandatory. We don’t want you to miss this important component to your college launch. If you are 23 or younger, living locally, and attending Regent University for the first time, you will find Welcome Week essential to your successful transition as a Regent Royal.

Fun Fact: Participation in orientation increases your likelihood of succeeding.

Students will be provided lunch on Tuesday, August 15 – Friday, August 18, 2023. Please see the Welcome Week schedule for mealtimes.

Parents and other guests are welcome to participate in the move-in process with their student. However, there is no other programming scheduled for guests. We encourage parents to allow students to fully immerse themselves into the Welcome Week experience.

Parents and guests cannot stay in student housing, but we have provided a list of nearby accommodations for parents and guests below.
